4:43 pm - Hello, ladies and gentlecreatures!
As many of you may already know, if you have [info]boureeinaminor friended, the author is in the midst of obsessive-compulsive fall cleaning on fic journals.

This one I've clamped down a wee bit harder than the others, as it is a whole novel arrived in draft form; hence the publicness of this post, as I have already mostly cleaned the friendslist.

If you have been removed, it is because I do not actually recall receiving a comment or indication that you've read this from you. And some of the journals in question I've never seen anything at all, which makes me a little nervous, because there might be this mostly unmanned journal lying around waiting for someone to hack into it.

. . . yes, it's paranoid. It's a gift, believe me.

Anyway! My point, and the point of this entry, is simply a note tacked up. If I've removed you in error, please tell me and I will correct that error at once.

Thank you.

- M. Temple

Okay kids, rules of the game!

NaNo starts tomorrow, which means that as of tomorrow this journal will be updated with at least 1, 666 words a day. Every day.

This is National Novel Writing Month. That means no editing, not a lot of time to think about things, writing on the fly and just pushing through. What I throw out may really, really suck. There will be typos and mistakes and errors and continuity problems and so forth and so on.

Obviously, all of these words are Copyrighted to ME. The advantage of having this friendslocked is that it substantially cuts down on the number of people who have access to this and more importantly, makes me aware of who they are.

There will be angst, pain, death, sex, fluff, torture, drama and so forth.

There will be elves and small children.

If you have a problem with any of this, please unfriend now! I'd hate to have to just kick you off later. I won't take offense if you leave. Seriously.

EDIT: I've also removed a couple of people - if I haven't spoken to you in three weeks or more, I'm going to assume this is only there because you've forgotten to take it off. If I am wrong let me know and I'm happy to let you back, but it makes me nervous to have people on here that I'm not aware want to be.

Welcome to [info]merkas_folly. All subsequent entries will be friendslocked. If you wish to be able to see them, drop a comment here and I will add you.

This is the story of Sintai Aresthe - the Severing War, from the author's working arc Wind of Ashes, which spreads itself also over [info]boureeinaminor, [info]ovinra and [info]eagles_phoenix.

This story is fantasy, focused on elves, set a very long time ago. Actual history will be ignored in favour of plot where necessary.

This story is now finished in draft form, linked in the index which is a sticky entry on the load-page.

This story, were it made into a movie, would be rated at least R, for violence, torture and other dark themes. It is a war-story and a history. Keeping the above in mind and keeping in mind that there are no ratings or warnings on chapters or from here on in, the author welcomes you aboard and asks that you leave a comment if you wish to be given access.
